How it works

Using Online Care Anywhere is easy and convenient. Here's how an online medical consultation works:

Step 1 – Simply sign in when it makes sense for you. All you need is a computer with Internet access. (A webcam is recommended for a richer experience, but not required.) Whenever you sign in, patients will be made aware that you are available. Currently, you can treat patients through Online Care Anywhere from 7 a.m. - 11 p.m., seven days a week.

Step 2 – No pre-scheduling is required. When a prospective online patient indicates he or she would like to have an online medical consultation with you, you will get a notification. You will have the opportunity to see the patient's medical concern or issue and review his or her health summary to decide if you'd like to see the patient.

Step 3 – If you accept, you'll have a conversation with the patient via secure chat, webcam or the phone. You can talk to, see and interact with the patient as if you were in your own private exam room. The notes you take for the session are captured, maintained electronically and shared with the patient.

Step 4 – Complete the online consultation summary to wrap up the session. Payment for each session is processed automatically as part of the Online Care Anywhere system. No additional claims or invoices are required.
